Name: Philippa Halliwell Nicknames: Pippa, Pip Age & DOB: 30 & 10 July 1983 Occupation: Detective Parents: Simon and Lucy Halliwell Siblings: younger brother and sister Hometown: Portland, Maine Current Residence: Boston, Mass Marital Status: It's complicated
Pippa is the oldest of the three Halliwell children, she was born to a detective father, Simon and mother, Lucy. She enjoyed being the only child for the first eight years of her life until her baby brother was born. She was fascinated with the baby once she met him in the hospital and wouldn't leave his side, doing the best she could for a toddler to help her parents. Her brother wasn't the last Halliwell child to be born, they welcomed another daughter and Pippa's baby sister. She was a little older then and was slowly learning that being the oldest she would have to be the responsible one. This came sooner than expected when their mother left without an explanation. Pippa refused to believed that she would just leave them that something bad would have happened. Her father being too into his work to provide answers she was left to wonder and spent most of growing up looking after her younger siblings. Helping them with their education and teaching them about life, of what she knew.
Growing up Pippa was and still is a tomboy. She would become friends with the boys quicker than the girls and surprising managed to form her own Sandlot. If she was able to escape the duties of caring after her siblings she would be found at the local baseball field, getting dirty and challenging the boys. When it was winter she developed a love for street and ice hockey. Sport was her escape from a broken family. But no matter what she was doing, her siblings were always on the back of her mind and she would make sure she was home at a reasonable time every night. Unlike her peers, Pip as she is known to those close to her, never stayed out past curfew.
When she was old enough she realised that her mother was not missing, in fact that she left them and she held a grudge, wondering what she did to make her mom run off. She did her best to stay in contact with her father but as always he was too busy with work. Pippa never strayed from her siblings even though she yearned to live somewhere else, she couldn't imagine being too far from them. In high school she decided she wanted to become a Detective, she needed to be on the ball and keep her mind from wandering and follow the footsteps of her father. She passed the training and started out as a street cop, the days were always different and being on call gave her an adrenaline rush.
Two years ago she was given the opportunity of a life time, to be transferred to Boston. She had always been fascinated with that city and had dreamed about running there. She was hesitant. Her siblings were still young and she was afraid of leaving them but they seemed supportive at first, so she thought until her brother became distance. She was promised this transfer would only be for a couple of months, what could go wrong, she thought. With difficulty she made the move and promised her siblings if she was needed for anything she would come straight home.
Boston started off great, she became a member of the Red Sox and was able to attend a few games which she loved, but what was meant to be a couple of months, turned into a year, then two years, she slowly lost contact with her siblings as she went undercover, it all happened so fast that she didn't have time to hesitate. Her partner was older a Boston native and a charmer. Pippa never believed to get close to her partners but there was something different about this one. What happened to them while they were undercover brought them closer together, even though they knew it was wrong, just not because of their work situation. A tragedy unfolded and they were taken off the case, Pippa had been thinking about heading back to Portland when her brother showed up on her door step, he had been in trouble, even got himself arrested and was looking for a fresh new start. Her sister had gone to New York City to a film school and after some decision with her colleague and brother she decided to stay in Boston. At the moment she is having a hiatus from work, working up the courage to pick up her badge and gun again. All while grateful her brother is near once more. During her rare spare time, she likes to help out and coach the local kids baseball team. Knows how to speak Italian and learning a few others due to her work.
